Policies and Pricing

Appointment Policies
  • Business Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. The last appointment is at 6:30 pm. Saturdays are available by special arrangement. Closed Sundays.
  • Consultations: The first 60 minutes are free. After the first 60 minutes, a $25 consultation fee will be added to the ticket.
  • Item Limit: A maximum of five garments or items may be brought at one time.
  • Children: Children are always welcome. Please bring a suitable distraction or entertainment for little ones.
  • Arrival Time: Please arrive on time. Late arrivals disrupt customers scheduled after you.
  • Late Arrivals: If you are running late, please let me know as soon as possible. Arrivals 15 minutes or more late will be canceled and must be rescheduled.
  • No Call, No Show: No-call, no-show appointments will not be rescheduled.
Garment and Service Policies
  • Garment Condition: All garments must be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned before they are accepted for fittings or alterations.
  • Footwear: For dress, trouser, gown, and jean hems, please bring or wear the exact shoes you plan to wear with the garment.
  • Undergarments: Please wear the appropriate undergarments, such as shapewear, a specific bra, or a corset, if you intend to wear them with the finished outfit.
  • Garment Receipt: Keep the garment receipt provided until you have picked up your item or items.
  • Hanger Charge: A $2 charge applies to hangers provided for formal attire.
  • Fabric and Construction: Heavily lined garments, leather, and highly embellished or beaded fabrics may add $10 to $25 per service.
  • Rush Fees: Service required within 24 hours or less adds 30%. Same-day service is charged at double the standard price.
  • Wedding Gowns: Wedding gowns requested within three weeks incur a 40% rush fee.
  • Due Dates: Please provide the exact date you need your garments returned. During busy seasons, including prom, wedding, and graduation seasons, turnaround may take longer. Items marked "no rush" will be added to the back of the queue.
  • Payment Requirements: Garments will not be released until payment is made in full. Custom orders require a 50% deposit upfront.

Please note: This price list provides standard baseline rates and does not include every available service. Final pricing depends on garment construction, fabric type, and complexity and may be quoted higher or lower after physical inspection.

Planning Guidelines

Final pricing: All prices are estimates until the garment has been inspected. Additional complexity, delicate fabrics, lining, embellishment, or urgent deadlines may change the final quote.

What to Expect When You Book an Appointment

Before Your Appointment

  • Please make sure the garment is clean and aired out, especially free of cigarette smoke.

  • For formal wear:

    • Bring the shoes you plan to wear with the garment (or something comparable).

    • Bring or wear any special undergarments that go with your attire.

    • These items are essential to ensure the best possible fit.


During Your Appointment

  • You will be asked to change into the garment(s) that need altering.

  • Once changed:

    • We will discuss the alterations I recommend.

    • I will also go over any specific areas you want to address.

    • Measuring and/or pinning will be done as needed.

    • We will discuss the cost for the alterations.


Custom Garments

  • A work order ticket will be created with:

    • The due date

    • The total cost

  • A deposit of 50% is required for all custom orders.

    • Work will not begin until the deposit is received.


Payment Process

  • Payment is not taken at the first fitting.

  • Final payment is due once the garment is fitted and the work is approved by you, the customer.


Final Touch

  • Steaming or pressing is included as a courtesy after alterations.
